Alver Valley

 Monday 05 July 2010 - 13:20:39 | Chopperone

Alver Valley Lake will be available to PDAS members for fishing from the 03/07/2010 that's the good news.
One of the conditions of the lease are you will need 2 keys to unlock 2 gates to enter with a car. No1 gate will have our PDAS padlock on it, No2 Gate will have a Gosport Borough Council lock on it. So please remember you need two different keys.
The new No2 Alver barrier key will be available from PDAS Secretary, Dave's Tackle, Hansford's and Manning's.
To obtain a key from PDAS Secretary you must send your name and membership number plus a stamped self addressed small envelope and a cheque/postal order made out to PDAS. If you buy a key from one of the tackle shops you must take you membership card with you, "no membership card no key" The keys will cost £15 each, £10 of this will be refunded should you ret urn an undamaged key at any time within 2 years from the date of purchase and can only be returned to PDAS Secretary.
The Alver No2 barrier key ownership remains with Gosport BC and PDAS and can be withdraw at any time for it's misuse with the subsequent loss of the deposit and possibly your membership.
Bailiffs wanted for Alver Valley contact Pond Warden or FMO, contact details in handbook.
Rules for the use of the water and gates are in the handbook plus those listed below
Close the gate quietly immediately after passing through it.
Never allow entry via the gates to anybody else.

Please report any problems with either gate to Pond Warden or any member of the Fisheries management team.
Do not park your car between the two (2) gate, your car will be clamped and possibly towed away.

Do not fish the first lake you see on the left side of the road.
