Brownwich Pond

Brownwich is a stream fed farm pond of about 4 acres, and is managed as a specimen carp water.
This lake was stocked several years ago with 2 different strains of fast growing carp alongside the existing remaining stock.
There are approximately 50 carp in total with the biggest being around mid 30 depending on time of year.

The lake does not respond well when heavily fished, and the fish are becoming very wary of angling pressure and lines.

Brownwich is not the typical 'social' venue, but, I have joined the path of 2 swims so a few can meet in the middle for a chat and a cuppa.
Overall the fishery is aimed and managed for the specimen angler.

Please respect the water and its surroundings as it is part of a nature reserve, the pond, and the road leading to it, is often monitored by the landowners and neighbours.
